What is the most powerful force for change?
A discussion with Jin In, Movement Builder & Change Maker
When: Monday, September 17, 4:15-5:15pm
Where: MIT Wong Auditorium

Jin In is the founder of 4GGL – For Girls Glocal Leadership – a bold social change movement to ignite the next generation of empowered women changemakers. She is a researcher on women’s empowerment of the Millennials and a speaker in demand worldwide. She launched the 1st-ever young women’s empowerment global survey – collecting voices from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe. Then she heard voices of Syrian young women – citizens, immigrants and refugees – across 20 countries. Jin’s mission is to collect this powerful data in every country – starting with those at the frontline of war – to illuminate their inner power, showing the world that they are our most powerful force for change. The English Partner Program is recruiting conversation partners!

English Partners are volunteers who practice speaking English with an international student enrolled in the Women's League English Classes. Partners and students meet one-on-one, weekly or biweekly, for about an hour to practice conversational English. Students benefit immensely from meeting with an English Partner!

As an English Partner, you can provide your student valuable cultural insight into the MIT community and life in Cambridge. I have volunteered as an English Partner for the last four years and my personal experience has been amazing! I have worked with many wonderful women from around the world who have taught me about their lives and home countries as well as offered me a unique perspective on life here.

Please reach out to Kara Cunningham (kbcunnin at mit.edu<mailto:kbcunnin at mit.edu>) if you would like more information about the program or complete the Partner Registration Form<https://goo.gl/forms/uW8hjevIVfcA85Iq1> if you want to be an English Partner. Also, feel free to circulate the program information to any individuals or groups who may be interested in the program! Partners will be matched with students in early October.
