[WinPartners] Options/ideas for migration

Dear Winpartners,

I have a prof that has a new/identical hardware to his current machine (though more HD space) that I was intending to clone using clonezilla. Alas, the recipe for clonezilla might be a bit more involved/intrusive than the Prof would like to handle on his own remotely.

What tools might you suggest to handle clone/copy that don’t involve having him make changes to the BIOS and such?  I’ve used clonezilla primarily b/c it’s free so we are open to paid options. It’s been years since I used Ghost. Other considerations are migration tools, etc.

My goal is to reduce the amount of tinkering the Prof needs to attend to along the way of getting his environment sorted.

Please feel free to hmu directly and I can collate/digest and retransmit should there be a desire to reduce list traffic.
