[WinPartners] KB4493472 bricking win7 machines

What is that status of this issue ?  I was away last week when this hit.  I
have at least one system that was affected which was restored to operation
by disabling all Sophos services.

Do I need to roll-back KB4493472 before reactivating Sophos ?

Looking at my desktop (which uses MIT WSUS) KB4493472 is not installed and
not offered. Will it be re-issued ?
