Although I can't participate right now, I'd love to hear of your results.
Getting rid of McAfee is worth it alone.

Subject: [WinPartners] Windows InTune

Here is a brief summary as to what I've found out so far about Windows InTune at MIT -

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windowsintune/faq/default.aspx - General InTune FAQ that should answer most questions.

*         $2.20 per user

*         5 devices per user ( ex. - Laptop, Phone, Tablet = 3 devices )

* Native clients for WinRT / Win Phone 8 / iOS ( December timeframe )

* ActiveSync support for non-native clients ( Android, etc. )

* 20GBs cloud storage for software distribution

A big advantage for InTune is the lack of Active Directory as a requirement to use the product. It can also handle endpoint protection, which means you can ditch the bulky McAfee Antivirus application.

I plan on giving this a test sometime this Fall, so I'll give feedback about my experiences afterwards. For anyone else interested, there is a 30 day free trial on Microsoft's site.
