We also have the same problem. This is what the IS&T help desk told me
about it back in October:
To follow up with you on your question about accessing the MIT SECURE network

I've not heard anything since, and assume that the issue has not been
resolved. With the switch quickly approaching, hopefully we'll hear
something soon.
