All,
I too have several systems with the svchost problem and have followed all
advice offered to no avail.
All of my affected systems are brand new Dell D420 notebooks that have
never been put into service. I took them out of the boxes, installed our
normal suite of applications, successfully tested all applications, put
them on the network with automatic updates on (we use MIT WAUS) and left
them overnight. In the morning they were virtually unusable.
Does anybody have further advice beyond the installation of the suggested
hotfixes?
Thanks,
Henry
