Dell has apparently decided to recall a whole bunch of AC adapters shipped with
most Inspiron/Latitude models in the recent past, due to safety issues. A lot
of folks here use these models, and have multiple adapters, so you should
probably check

http://www.delladapterprogram.com/

to verify if your adapter(s) are affected and replace those that are. Affected
adapters are P/Ns 9364U, 7832D, and 4983D, which used to be the standard 'power
brick' Dell used for most portables in the 1998 - 2002 era.
