Good Afternoon:

IS&T is pleased to announce the first release of the Oracle Connector for Outlook (OCFO). OCFO is an Add-in for Microsoft Outlook Professional that enables Outlook users to access and manage their TechTime calendars, task lists, notes, and contacts through the Microsoft Outlook interface.

Please note that you need an active TechTime account to use this product. If you have not already done so, then you can activate your account at: http://calendar.mit.edu/register.

Notable features:
---------------------------
-access TechTime calendar and task lists through Microsoft Outlook Professional
-centrally store e-mail drafts, sent items, notes, tasks, and contacts
-enhanced e-mail and calendaring functionality: pop up reminders, e-mail notification, customized search folders, etc.
-fully integrated personal information management
-capable of synchronizing to most Windows CE based PDAs

Known Issues
----------------------
-the installation process for this product is extremely complex and non-intuitive. If you have a departmental IT administrator, then we strongly recommend that you contact this person for assistance. Otherwise, we recommend that you thoroughly review the installation instructions and follow them exactly to avoid a corrupt or unstable installation
-poor network connectivity may cause the client to respond sluggishly and in limited situations crash
-does not function with Microsoft Outlook Express
-autopreview functionality is not available in OCFO
-functionality tested and verified under Microsoft Outlook Professional 2003; we do not recommend running OCFO with other versions of Microsoft Outlook

You can download the OCFO from the MIT Software Download site: http://web.mit.edu/software/
Please note that you need a current personal certificate to download this software. If you do not have a current personal certificate, then you can obtain one from https://ca.mit.edu/.
