Thank you, I'm always looking for new sources of information! If anyone else can recommend their preferred websites or newsgroups for researching Windows issues, I'd appreciate hearing from you so that I can add them to my own (too short) bookmarked list.
Not having encountered any Windows Update patch problems for over a year, 2 serious problems with just two dozen PCs patched was leading to an unacceptably high error rate for this batch.
