The first Boston DataRescue event will be held on Wednesday February 1 from 4:30pm - 9:30pm in the CGIS South Building Room S030 at Harvard University. We'll be focusing on archiving websites and data from NASA: Earth Science and the Department of Energy.
The event is being organized by Toly Rinberg, Andrew Bergman and Maya Anjur-Dietrich, all members of the Environmental Data & Governance Initiative (EDGI) and PhD students in Applied Physics, Mercè Crosas, Chief Data Science and Technology Officer at the Institute for Quantitative Social Science (IQSS), and Hugh Truslow, Head of Social Sciences and Visualization at Harvard Library, all from Harvard University.
Please try to be at the event promptly. The training, which is needed for the DataRescue tasks that we will work on during the evening, will start at 5pm. Food will be provided during the event.
For more information about the event please contact EDGI Steering Committee member Andrew Bergman: andmbergman at gmail.com<mailto:andmbergman at gmail.com> - 609-577-3752
The next Boston DataRescue event will be held all day on February 18. Jeff Liu, PhD candidate in Civil Engineering and Computation at MIT, and others will be organizing - more information to come.
