[WebPub] Hosting maps with sensitive data

Wondering if anyone has experience hosting maps on a site behind authentication and using data from your database to populate those maps. What are some of the solutions your explored? I'm looking to create a dynamic map that shows important locations for a community but viewable only by that community.
