Hi all -
The Admissions Office currently uses uStream's ad-free whitelabeled paid service Watershed to webcast to prospective students. The trouble is that uStream sucks in terms of quality. However, of the two leading competitors, justin.tv does not offer a whitelabeled ad-free service, and Livestream is hilariously expensive.
I've been wondering whether or not it would be possible to just set up a quicktime/darwin streaming server (or comparable servlet) and Wirecast straight to it. The thing is I have no idea how difficult this would be to do, or how much it might cost to run the server, etc.
If anyone on the list(s) has experience in this, or other suggestions for other services, please let me know!
- Chris
