The IMCE module provides this functionality. You'll need to install IMCE and the corresponding WYSIWYG API to integrate it with whichever editor you are using for your site.

http://drupal.org/project/imce

Here is a demo:

When you click the "insert image" button, you will see a button to "browse server." This launches IMCE, which allows you to upload and choose images from allowed server directories.

I hope this helps.

Dear WebPub Friends,

I made a Drupal site at http://eaps4.mit.edu/27thSTM. When I add an image, for example the map on page http://eaps4.mit.edu/27thSTM/directions, I have to put the map in a folder on ╲eaps4.mit.edu╡ and then put the path URL of that folder in the code. Itâ•˙s not convenient to do it remotely. Could you please let me know how to add an image easily, like uploading the site logo image in ╲Settings╡?

Thanks a lot,
Yunpeng
