[WebPub] looking for answer to MediaWiki configuration setting

Hi Webpub:
I'm working with a DUSP project team to add MIT Touchstone (shibboleth) authentication to a MediaWiki site.  That turned out to be pretty straightforward, but I now have another related problem:  I have two login links.  I want only the Touchstone login link visible.

I can alter the CSS to hide the unwanted link, but that's a hack.  The documented ways of disabling login links disables all login links.  I'm new to MediaWiki and have had no luck finding the canonical solution to this problem.

Perhaps one of you might offer some guidance?
