Hey WebPub!
IS&T is pleased to announce the availability of lynda.com online training. By following the lynda.mit.edu<http://lynda.mit.edu/> url, the MIT community can now access lynda.com’s catalog of courses. Each course is taught by an industry expert and consists of multiple short videos which can be watched and replayed at any time. Online training from lynda.com is provided free of charge by IS&T to MIT students, faculty, and staff.
Classes of interest to WebPub include Web Analytics, SEO, Drupal, Wordpress, Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS, PHP, Photoshop and many others. Check them out!
To access lynda.com, you must connect to the MIT specific URL: lynda.mit.edu<http://lynda.mit.edu/>. You will be required to authenticate, either by certificate or by entering your Kerberos ID and password. For more information about lynda.com at MIT, refer to: http://ist.mit.edu/services/training/lynda
I encourage you to access the site and explore its training options. As we're preparing for a community-wide announcement shortly, Mark Wiklund, the IS&T Training Team Lead, asked that I send this out to WebPub to solicit your comments and suggestions.
Please check out the site and if you have any feedback you can contact him directly at mwiklund at mit.edu.
This is very exciting news for the community and I hope you all take advantage of all of these great new offerings!
Regards,
Dave Conlon
