[Webpub] Event Registration

My department is looking at options for online event registration, we've 
been doing the CGIEMAIL thing for a while. I wondered if anyone had any 
recommendations for existing tools? It doesn't look like the MIT events 
calendar supports event registration, is there some other existing 
online solution already at MIT that I don't know about? Or just 
something someone out there likes?

I don't have a lot of specifics on features needed yet but I think we 
are looking at customizable options (i.e. chicken, fish, or vegetarian?) 
and download to a spreadsheet as two essentials. As far as I know we 
don't have any plans to accept payments online.

We may decide to build something ourselves, but this seemed like the 
kind of problem that's probably been solved a million times before. 
Right now most of our apps are java/tomcat/postgres or oracle, finding 
something similar would be a plus but not necessarily essential.
