Back by popular demand, this month’s webpub meeting will be on Drupal  
(I promise not to cancel it this time).

Many of you have been hearing of Drupal, an open source content  
management system that has gained a certain fan base at MIT. What is  
Drupal? What makes it so great? Come find out!

Dr. Ann-Patrice Hickey is a software developer and trainer who in Jan  
2007, was brought in to the IS&T website project to create Alfresco  
templates, and to write scripts to migrate the IS&T website content  
into the Alfresco CMS. The Alfresco CMS turned out not to be the right  
tool for the job. Thus began the journey to find a replacement Content  
Management System, a journey that ended with the choice of Drupal. Ann- 
Patrice will talk about the selection process, why they chose Drupal,  
and what steps they are taking to move forward into development.
