From my friends across the river....

Hello all,

The Instructional Design and eTeaching Services department at Boston
College invites you to participate in our annual eTeaching
conference. The morning portion of the day focuses on faculty
educational technology projects, followed by a keynote speaker over
lunch, with product demonstrations and hands-on workshops in the
afternoon.

Topics covered during the morning presentations will include:
recreating the context of art through technology; integrating
collaborative technologies into teaching; and utilizing multimedia
templates to present course content.

Over lunch, Dr. Henry Jenkins, the Peter de Florez Professor of
Humanities and Co-Director of the Comparative Media Studies Program at
MIT, will give the keynote lecture, “What Wikipedia Can Teach Us About
the New Media Literacies."

In the afternoon, we will have hands-on workshops and demonstrations
that range from teaching with wikis and podcasts to personal response
systems (clickers in the classroom).

We will also recognize faculty who were nominated by students for
their outstanding uses of technology to enhance learning during the
Teaching with New Media Awards ceremony.

Please register by Friday, May 9th. Detailed information on the day
