Hi Folks,
Wondering if any of you have experience with del.icio.us, the social bookmarking
website. A colleague and I have used it recently for sharing links related to
our department and, in particular, to our website redesign efforts.
I'd like to share a del.icio.us list of links with the high school
students who are attending my workshop at this weekend's Youth Summit at MIT.
Since the students are not part of my network, one option is to simply forward
the list via email to the workshop attendees.
The problem is we don't have email addresses for all of the high school
students, so email per se won't reach everyone.
An alternative is to print out a Word version of the list for distribution at
the workshop. The problem here is that the list isn't made up of urls, but
rather of article or page titles: "Measuring the Uncertainty of Climate
Change", for example, is all that appears on the list, but it's referencing
<http://www.technologyreview.com/Energy/18184/>. As part of a Word list
attached to an email, the title itself is the link, and works as such very
nicely, even though the actual url is not visible.
If we're stuck with the paper handout version of this list, however, it's
necessary to include the actual urls. I can't figure out how to list them short
of going to every site on the list and copy/pasting the url from the address
box.
I may be missing a simple solution to this, but haven't been able to find it on
the del.icio.us site.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
Thanks,
