 From our blog, http://webpub.mit.edu

The Web 2.0 Expo out in San Francisco wrapped up yeseterday. Check
out all the tracks and seminars they had, this thing was HUGE. I’m
totally putting this conference on my continuing education wish list
for next year.

It sounds amazing…not only did they have some cool speakers (how
about Tim O’Reilly and Eric Schmidt for starters?) but also in depth
workshops (Ruby on Rails, Search Engine Optimization and more) for a
“first hand opportunity to master the power of Web 2.0 technologies.”
That’s the way I like to learn, jumping right on in!

Thankfully they are posting some of the speaker presentations online.

The really cool thing about the Expo was how they practiced what they
preached about living the Web 2.0 life. They had live Twitter
updates, a conference news blog, livecasting, a wiki, a flickr photo
gallery, and a social calendar with tag clouds to popular tags and
speakers. Really interesting to see how the conference world is
integrating this new web world!
