[Webpub] Important Google Update

Dear MIT Web Publishers and SysAdmins,

MIT's Google search engine has been updated to better serve the community's
needs, and there is a small but critical update to the search form on your
web site that needs to be completed by October 27th 2006.  If your web site
uses MIT Google for searching, you must update your search forms before
October 30th.  After this date, searches using the old search code are not guaranteed to work.

Instructions for this important update are available at

Our updated version of Google provides faster and more accurate searches.
IS&T encourages all to update your search forms to keep your web site's
search functionality running.

If you would like help with this transition, or have any questions, please
write to IS&T's Google team at google at mit.edu. It is important that this
update be made by October 30th to prevent interruptions to your site's
search engine.
