Dear Friends and Colleagues -

I hope this finds you well and that 2016 is off to a good start for you.

I am writing because, as you know, I am the Co-Director and Academic Coordinator of the Theatre Arts Program at Kingsborough Community College.  This spring, one of our full-time faculty members is on sabbatical and we are looking for an adjunct instructor to teach our THA 55: Introduction to Technical Theatre course.  Previously, the course functioned as our Stagecraft course but we expanded the course content to also include overviews of other technical and crew positions in theatre.  The emphasis is on scenic construction but there is room to incorporate other areas of technical theatre as the instructor wishes.

Our spring semester starts on Monday, March 7th.  The commitment would continue through the final exam period, which is the week of June 13th. The class meets on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1:50pm - 2:50pm in our Scene Shop classroom, which has a full computer/smartboard.  The class is usually capped at 15 students.  Additional teaching opportunities may be available based on enrollment, scheduling and budget.
