I'd be interested to hear if anyone has set replacement cycles for theater equipment in general - lights, dimmers, console, sound system components, soft goods, etc...
Are there any standards or "best practice" recommendations that have been published?
Thanks!
Andy

Subject: [Usittne] lighting inventory upgrade
A recent NAST report suggested that we should have in place a program of replacing lighting equipment in some sort of cycle. Does anyone do that, and if so what kind of turnover, etc. is appropriate (to a small liberal arts college). We have mostly Altman 6x's and some Shakespeares; fresnels and Source4 PARS.
