[Usittne] call for leadership in New England

Dear USITT New England,

About a month ago I emailed the listserve to announce my resignation as chair after this year -13 years of service.
I asked that people nominate themselves or others for the position as well as for vice-chair of the section.
So far no one has come forward.   I had hoped that our meeting at the national conference in Kansas would be to vote a new person into office. Instead, it may be a discussion about what will happen to the section without leadership.  

Here are the things we could possibly lose without leadership:
1.  Technology and Craftsmanship award at KCACTF region 1.
2.  The tech olympics sponsorship at KCACTF region 1.
3.   Sponsorship to the REPA Job Expo in Boston.
4.   Meeting and snacks at the meeting at the national conference.
5.  the annual BBQ
6.  someone to write the annual report and request support
7.  our status as an active section
8.  the ability to sponsor anything new

Give it some thought.  Email me nominations by March 1st.
