<DIV>About a month ago I emailed the listserve to announce my resignation as chair after this year -13 years of service.</DIV>
<DIV>I asked that people nominate themselves or others for the position as well as for vice-chair of the section.</DIV>
<DIV>So far no one has come forward. I had hoped that our meeting at the national conference in Kansas would be to vote a new person into office. Instead, it may be a discussion about what will happen to the section without leadership. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Here are the things we could possibly lose without leadership:</DIV>
<DIV>1. Technology and Craftsmanship award at KCACTF region 1.</DIV>
<DIV>2. The tech olympics sponsorship at KCACTF region 1.</DIV>
<DIV>3. Sponsorship to the REPA Job Expo in Boston.</DIV>
<DIV>4. Meeting and snacks at the meeting at the national conference.</DIV>
<DIV>5. the annual BBQ</DIV>
<DIV>6. someone to write the annual report and request support</DIV>
<DIV>7. our status as an active section</DIV>
<DIV>8. the ability to sponsor anything new</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Give it some thought. Email me nominations by March 1st.</DIV>
