Anna,
I know Sapsis rents some small motorized turntables and I think he may
rent the edge drive power unit separately, but I don't know the price
range.

In the Boston area, contact Limelight Productions. I don't know if
they rent revolves or not but they might be able to point you to
someone closer than Sapsis.

If it turns out you need to build, I'll be glad to offer as much help
as I can. Over the years I've designed and built over 20 revolves,
from shop built 8' dia. to a 40' commercial installation.
If you wind up building it, I have a few questions:
1. Revolve on a rake, is the revolve raked also?
2. Does the revolve mount on top of the rake or is it built in so it's
flush and level with the rake?
3. What is your time frame, when does the build start and when does
the revolve need to be installed and operational?
4. What is your budget for the revolve, all inclusive?
5. Is your crew all student or do you have some staff other than yourself?
6. Does your shop have welding capability?
7. Will the revolve be built in the shop and moved to the stage or
built in place on stage?
8. Does the design allow any way to conceal the drive mechanism or
must it be located beneath the deck/rake?
Hope this helps, Let me know how things are going.
