acting listing is outside the usual subject matter of this list but

Adjunct Assistant Professor of Theater:

Wesleyan University seeks a scenic designer for a full-time four year 
contract (with the possibility of renewal) as an Adjunct Assistant 
Professor of Theater beginning in the fall of 2004. The successful 
candidate will be expected to teach courses in scenic design as well 
as courses in other aspects of the core curriculum such as script 
analysis or theater history. The candidate will advise student 
designers and in addition to teaching four courses per year, will 
design two faculty directed productions. The successful candidate 
will also be encouraged to create an interdisciplinary course linking 
issues in design to other departments or areas of creative inquiry 
and research. MFA and professional experience required; competence in 
a second design area is also desired.

Visiting Instructor/Assistant Professor of Theater


Wesleyan University seeks a part-time (0.6 FTE) Visiting 
Instructor/Assistant Professor to teach three courses a year. The 
typical yearly annual course load will be two sections of Acting I 
and one section of Acting II, plus Department advising 
responsibilities. In lieu of one of these courses, on occasion the 
candidate may also offer a course specific to his/her expertise. The 
candidate is expected to have a professional performance background, 
an MFA or comparable educational preparation, and teaching experience 
in a liberal arts environment.
Deadline for applications is Feb. 15.
