TLDR: Apply<https://forms.gle/AWjnQ44RB9fqqsCM8> for Institute Committees by February 17

Hi MIT Undergrads,

Now’s your chance to make an impact at MIT as an Institute Committee representative. As an undergraduate representative, you will work directly with faculty, staff, graduate students, and postdocs to drive positive change at MIT and ensure the undergraduate perspective is considered when major decisions are made. The role of an Institute Committee representative is crucial to making our undergraduate communities’ voices heard.

We are opening applications for a few committees with open positions listed below.

Apply here<https://forms.gle/AWjnQ44RB9fqqsCM8> by February 17 at 11:59pm EST!

We are currently recruiting for the following committees:

  *   Committee on Curricula
     * CoC is the arm of the Institute that is responsible for the Institute curriculum. This committee entertains proposals that impact all current and future undergraduate students.
  * Committee on Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Response
     * The Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Response Committee is an advisory body that encourages a campus environment that is safe, respectful and free from discrimination; and oversees an institute-wide approach to prevent and respond to sexual misconduct and other forms of gender-based discrimination.
  *   Community Campus Safety Council
     * CCSC will serve as a communications link between the MIT Police and MIT’s students, faculty and staff. Its objectives are to inform the MIT community of the services available through the Office of Public Safety, and to suggest any opportunities to modify or supplement services to meet any changing needs of the community.
  *   Student Organization Working Group
     * SOWG is charged with reviewing best practices around membership, recognition, and funding for student organizations (including clubs and non-varsity sports).

A complete list of the institute committees and their descriptions can be found here<http://ua.mit.edu/institutecomms>. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
