Dear Undergraduates,

In collaboration with Violence Prevention & Response, a group of MIT students are organizing a video storytelling project for undergraduate student survivors of sexual assault at MIT. They want to create a platform for students to share their story.

This video will become part of the educational resources that are shared with the FSILGs, living groups, and general student body regarding consent and sexual assault training.

The goal of this video is to show the human side of the statistics. They want to target the misconception that sexual assault is not a “big deal” at MIT.  The group hopes this video will also encourage community healing and bring more attention to the importance of respect and consent in social settings at MIT.

The form will only go to VPR advocates. An advocate will contact you to set-up a check-in meeting. You are welcome to fill out the form and discuss your concerns or hesitations with VPR advocates before fully committing to this project.

Important Notes:
o   You can withdraw from this project at any point.
o   In March & April, we will have 3-4 meetings to go over various topics, such as caring for yourself, framing and writing your story and considerations and guidelines.
o   This form will close on March 8th, 2022.
