Hi Undergrads,

We hope that you are prioritizing your mental health in this time. The UA Byte team wants to amplify the work of the Ukranian students and allies at MIT. They have compiled resources into a document which can be viewed here<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZKlQ6nz7ZZXuec6VYkXjpqukXAoM5pDgys9tFZlKJxA/edit?usp=sharing>.

Additionally, they have created mailing lists and a discord that can be joined:

  1. Ukraine-support at mit.edu<mailto:Ukraine-support at mit.edu>: for people who want to receive information about upcoming MIT events, Boston Area rallies, and other relevant information.
  2. ukrainians at mit.edu<mailto:ukrainians at mit.edu>: for people who identify as Ukrainian and want to stay connected to other Ukrainians at MIT.

To join these platforms, you can fill out this form<http:// https://forms.gle/tbpe4frMiEaQM8AX6 >

  1. https://discord.gg/gebhVTQd<https://www.google.com/url?q=https://discord.gg/gebhVTQd&sa=D&source=editors&ust=1645812535879043&usg=AOvVaw17Zn6rMtAfwMwZ9Wk88jZH>: for anyone who wants to help make a more direct impact through reaching out to us, organizing events, and getting the latest information on how to help.

UA One

UA One is a new initiative we’re launching in honor of the UA’s 129th birthday, where we want to give all undergraduates the chance to submit a one-page proposal to improve student life at MIT! We’ve already created a guiding template, which you can find at ua.mit.edu/one<http://ua.mit.edu/one>, to make the process easier.

Any and all ideas are welcome, and you can work by yourself or with a group. Just email your one-pager, slide or idea to ua-one at mit.edu<mailto:ua-one at mit.edu> by March 4th and a panel of judges made up of UA Officers, Committee Chairs, and general members will get back to you shortly to let you know if your idea was selected to happen this semester.

UA Finboard - Support POC-Owned Small Businesses!

As the spring club funding cycle approaches, we want to share an exciting, service-based opportunity to consider for your next funding application. To assist POC-owned, minority-owned, and family-owned small restaurant businesses, we will be offering additional funding to ~20 clubs to cater food from a select list and/or equivalent of approved restaurants. This funding is in addition to the typical funding that your organizations receive in a given cycle, and it can only be used to support these small businesses. If interested, please complete the BIPOC initiative section, which is included in the overall Spring Funding Application Form (will be sent out next Sunday!)
