Hello Undergrads,

Last week, Chancellor Barnhart sent a letter to the student body about the
importance of Institute Committees <http://ua.mit.edu/institutecomms> in
making change at MIT. Applications
<https://mit.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cIn21u84BsSLgl8>for these
committees are due *TODAY* at 11:59 PM ET and I strongly encourage you to
apply.

Institute Committee Representatives have worked on:

   - Financial Aid decisions
   - Admissions Requirements (SAT/ACT Optionality)
   - First Year Experiments with GIRS and PNR
   - Academic Leave Policies
   - Sexual Misconduct Prevention
   - Designing spaces in libraries
   - Commencement

By sitting on one of these Institute Committees, you have the opportunity
to:

   1. Be in the room where key decisions on MIT are made to make sure
   student opinion is integrated into Institute decisions.
   2. Build amazing professional relationships by working closely with
   senior leadership, faculty, and other important members of the MIT
   community.
   3. Meet other MIT students passionate about making change on campus
