Hi guys!

Hope you’re all doing well as the semester comes to a screeching stop. It’s been a wild ride, and we want to hear about how it went for you.

You have the chance to be one of 10 people to win $20 in merch from the COOP if you fill out the survey by tonight at 7pm ET.

Also…

  *   The data we gather will inform how we advocate to MIT administration, faculty, and senior leadership(e.g. these survey results allowed UA Education to play a key role in reinstating Junior/Senior PDF and making sure that we retain flexibility in our grading options next semester.)
  *   AND will allow us to focus on initiatives that are meaningful and relevant to you (how do we improve the on-campus experience so that it’s not lonely?)

Hey undergrads!

Hope you had an enjoyable break and that on-campus folks had a smooth move in/out process. I'm writing to remind you of the UA Spring Planning Survey, gauging the MIT undergraduate experience this fall. The UA Committee on COVID-19, along with UA Education and UA Community Service, will use this information to directly guide our discussions with administrators on spring policies. We ask that you respond to our survey so our advocacy can be accurate and representative of your opinions.

As a thank you, you’ll have the option to enter into a raffle to win up to $20 of merch (of your choosing!) from The COOP<https://store.thecoop.com/mit/>! You’ll gain an additional entry for each section you complete, amounting to a maximum of five raffle entries per person. Ten winners will be contacted by December 4th (this Friday!).

The results of this survey have already been used by UA Education to advocate to reinstate Junior-Senior P/D/F, as was just announced yesterday by APART. Your responses matter! If you have additional feedback you feel isn't captured by our questions, please let us know in the text box at the end of the survey.

Note that this is a different survey from the UA Sustain survey you received on Monday. If you have the time, we would greatly appreciate your response to both. For your response, UA Sustain will donate to a nonprofit of your choosing!

As we enter the final weeks of the fall semester, the UA Committee on COVID-19 is excited to release our survey on the student experience under COVID. It was designed in collaboration with UA Education and UA Community Service, with the goal of informing our student advocacy efforts and guiding the MIT administration as they develop policies for the spring semester. It is essential that your voice plays a key role in this process.
