Dear Undergraduates,

I hope all is well.

As we approach the end of the academic year, it is necessary for our Undergraduate Association (UA) to appoint new members to our Judicial Review Board, as well as our Election Commission.

The application for these positions may be found here<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1UUpzkI2jJfMY0B5XxutauokJB0Ayh_zQ5nX0i2ERSug/viewform>, and are due by Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 12:00PM (noon).

Both of these positions are very exciting and instrumental to the functioning of our student government, and accordingly, integral to the success of our community.

Judicial Review Board members adjudicate student concerns when a member of our student government may violate the constitution, and also acts as an advisor to undergraduates and the Undergraduate Association on the interpretation of our governing documents. They also oversee the Election Commission. More information may be found in Article 2, Section C of the UA Constitution<http://web.mit.edu/ua/governing-docs/constitution.pdf>.

The Election Commission is the body that runs elections for class councils, the UA President and Vice President, as well as constitutional referendums and recall elections. They create and maintain our voting database, and raise awareness about elections among the student body. More information may be found in Article 2, Section A of the UA Election Code<http://web.mit.edu/ua/governing-docs/election-code.pdf>.

I hope you will take the time to apply! And I wish everyone the best of luck this week, and hope your semester is coming to a good conclusion - and if you need help, be sure to reach out to your friends, professors, and the many resources MIT has for you<http://resources.mit.edu/resources/personal-support-and-wellness/all>!

Thank you very much for your time.

Sincerely,

Matthew Davis
