Hello Undergraduates,

*Interesting piece of history of the week *from our UA History Chair, Alexander

*"Moving Day in next Saturday, the 7th, and we have the great privilege to
witness this date.When MIT first made the crossing there were three events
that really made the entire day stand out. First, a Venetian barge
<http://news.mit.edu/sites/mit.edu.newsoffice/files/images/2016/MIT-2016-Venetian-Barge-02.jpg>
was
made that held our character and important documents. The barge was sailed
across the river. You may notice that on the front of the barge is the
figure of technology, holding a t-square in one hand and the torch of
enlightenment in the other.The other two events will be saved for next
week. Photo Credit: MIT Libraries"*
