Lori Breslow is the founding Director of the Teaching & Learning Laboratory
(TLL) at MIT. She conducts research on the development and impact of
pedagogical, curricular, and technological innovation in STEM higher
education.
Research into how college students learn has exploded over the last two
decades. We know, for instance, that learners aren't empty vessels ready
information - rather they are model builders and knowledge creators. This
presentation will describe some of the latest findings about how people
learn and give the audience an opportunity to explore how that research can
help MIT students both inside and outside of the classroom/
Join us - food will be served!
This IAP, meet some of MIT's most interesting professors through the UA
Committee on Education lecture series. Coming up:
*1/13 - *O. Robert Simha, of Course 11
*1/20 - *Lorna Gibson, of Course 3
