The UA Committee on Education presents:

Engineering of Architectural Heritage-- with "MacArthur Genius" Prof. John Ochsendorf

When: Tomorrow (1/22). 2 PM.
Where: 4-237
Lunch will be served!

Prof. John Ochsendorf<http://architecture.mit.edu/faculty/john-ochsendorf> is truly a genius. Don't believe us? Just ask the MacArthur Foundation<http://www.macfound.org/fellows/807/>, which awarded him its prestigious fellowship (aka "the Genius Grant") in 2008. Prof. Ochsendorf studies historic monuments -- from fiber suspension bridges dating from the Inca Empire to splendid French Romanesque churches -- in order to design and build more sustainable structures.

If you're interested in Course 4, Course 1, art, history, or you just want to hear a good story, join us for Prof. Ochsendorf's lecture tomorrow.

This IAP, you have met some of MIT's most interesting professors through the UA Committee on Education lecture series. The last lecture is coming up this Thursday 1/24 with Catherine Drennan of Course 5.
