RLAD Role Description Now Available

Dear Undergraduate Community:

Earlier this evening, a detailed role description for the Residential Life
Area Director (RLAD) position was posted to the Division of Student Life
(DSL) Department of Residential Life & Dining website linked below. This
description includes a list of specific objectives for the role of RLADs
within the dormitories. We encourage all those interested in this issue to
review the description and to reach out to your dormitory’s President with
comments, or contact the UA-DormCon team at
residential-support-feedback at mit.edu.

This update also follows the conclusion of the RLAD search process on
Friday, July 20th. As outlined in the timeline, these new community members
will arrive on campus no later than August 3rd.

Going forward, we intend to distribute a survey regarding residential
support to the dorm governments in the week to come. This survey is
designed to aid each dorm government in understanding their residents’
opinion in this area. We will be sure to update you as this process is
finalized.
