Hi Undergrads,
As you know, President Susan Hockfield recently announced her resignation, and MIT is currently involved in the process to find and select its 17th president. Students are encouraged to be part of the process through public student forums on campus over next two weeks, as well as online feedback.
We strongly encourage all students to get involved in the process. This exercise is not only an opportunity to identify the traits desired in the next president of MIT, but also an opportunity for students to identify key issues affecting students in the coming decade as well as communicate, identify, and affirm the values and priorities of MIT going into the future. The results of your input will likely last for several years, if not decades, after you graduate.
The planned forums are listed below; each forum will be 90 minutes long.
Tuesday 3/13 9pm Ashdown House (Hulsizer Room)
Thursday 3/15 6pm Walker Memorial (Pritchett Dining Hall, 50-258)
Monday 3/19 noon 5-134
Tuesday 3/20 noon 3-442
Tuesday 3/20 5:30pm E51-376
Thursday 3/22 7:30pm Student Center (W20 Lobdell Dining Hall)
If you cannot attend the forums, you are strongly encouraged to submit your feedback online<http://scripts.mit.edu/%7Eua/pressearch/>.
If you have any questions or comments, please email gscua-search at mit.edu<mailto:gscua-search at mit.edu>.
Sincerely,
The Student Advisory Committee to the Presidential Search
