UA and Class Council Elections: Last week for petitions!

Undergrads,

Interested in representing your student body as the Undergraduate
Association President or Vice President?  Interested in organizing
exciting social events for your class as a Class Council official?
Run in the Spring 2009 UA Elections!

You will need to turn in official election packets (found at
http://ua.mit.edu/committees/elect) by February 23rd at 5pm in the UA
Office. Packets completed early can be turned in early by handing it
to an Elect Comm member.  To arrange a meeting contact
ua-elect at mit.edu.

You must wait to receive an official candidate confirmation via email
before you can start campaigning.  Candidate confirmation will begin
at 12:01am on Sunday, March 1st.

Electronic voting will last from March 16th through March 19th. Paper
balloting will occur in Lobby 10 on March 20th from 10-4pm.  Winners
will be announced later that night.

If you are interested in running for an office it is imperative that
you email the Election Commission, ua-elect at mit.edu, with your name,
year, email, phone number, and desired position (along with running
mate, if applicable).

Schedule Recap:

February 23, 5pm:  Election packets due, UA Office
March 1, 12:01am:  Campaigning starts for official candidates
March 16, 12:01am:  Online voting begins
March 19, 11:59pm:  Online voting ends
March 20, 10am-4pm:  Paper balloting in Lobby 10
Weekend of March 20:  Winners announced
