Dear undergraduates,

As you may know, MIT has a number of Institute Committees, which address
a variety of issues vital to the smooth functioning of the Institute.
Working on these committees is an excellent way to build relationships
with faculty while simultaneously serving your fellow students and
helping to influence the MIT administration.

The UA Nominations Committee is currently seeking MIT undergraduates to
fill spots on several Institute Committees that became open after Fall
2008: the Committee on Academic Performance (CAP), the Committee on
Curricula (CoC), the Committee on the Undergraduate Program (CUP), and
the Baker Foundation. If you are interested in serving on one of these
committees, please fill out the following online application:
http://ua.mit.edu/committees/nomcomm/nominations.html

The application deadline is Wednesday, February 12, 2009 at 11:59pm.
Applicants will also be asked to meet with the Nominations Committee for
a formal interview during the week of Monday, February 16. The students
selected to serve on these committees will serve for the Spring 2009
academic term.

If you have any questions, please contact the Nominations Committee at
ua-nomcomm at mit.edu.

Sincerely,

Paul Baranay
Chair, UA Nominations Committee

P.S. The Nominations Committee will be conducting a separate application
process in March and April for students interested in serving on
Institute Committees for the 2009-2010 academic year.
