New UA VP | Apply for UA Treasurer & UA Secretary General
Harel M. Williams, UA President
ua-president at MIT.EDU
Sat Dec 11 04:19:57 EST 2004
Dear Undergraduates,
As you probably already know from reading The Tech and from
correspondence with your Senator(s), my UA Vice Presidential
Appointment, Janet Zhou '06, was approved unanimously by the UA Senate
this previous Monday. I am confident, and now it is clear that the UA
Senate is confident, that Janet will do an excellent job as Vice
President over the coming months. The Undergraduate Association has made
excellent progress this semester, but there is still a lot more to do. I
have no doubt that next semester will fully reflect the passion and
dedication of your representatives.
Two UA executive positions are now open: UA Treasurer and UA Secretary
General. Janet, in taking on the role of UA VP, had to give up her prior
role as UA Treasurer. Also, our current Secretary General, Amelia
Laughton '06, will be pursuing other endeavors next semester. We thank
Amelia for her dedication to UA over the past year and a half, and wish
her luck in her future endeavors.
These two positions provide a very unique opportunity to improve the
MIT undergraduate experience, to gain leadership experience, as well as
to meet and work closely with a diverse group of students, faculty, and
administrators whom are passionate about improving the Institvte. All
interested undergraduates are welcomed to apply.

Applications, also linked below, are due *January 3rd, 2005* by email or
