UA Election Commission ua-elect at MIT.EDU
Sat Sep 4 01:53:45 EDT 2004

If you are interested in running for:

*UA Senate Representative Elections*,
*UA 2008 Class Council Elections* (Pres, VP, Secretary, Treasurer,
Publicity Chairs and Social Chairs),

then this is the moment you've been waiting for!

Come to the *Undergraduate Association Open House and Candidates Meeting
*this Saturday, September 4th, W20-491 (4th Floor of the Student Center)
for all of the information you need to begin the campaign trail!

The Open House part will run from 2:00PM to 3:30PM with a discussion of
how the UA works and an opportunity to meet some current UA members.
Anyone interested in and/or unfamiliar with the structure of the UA is
strongly encouraged to attend.

At 3:30 PM, there will be a meeting for all candidates where you will
sign up to receive a petition packet. We will also explain the election
code and the campaign rules. Upperclassmen already familiar with what
the position they plan to run for entails need not come before 3:30, as
no election packets will be available before this time anyway.

If you cannot attend this event, please email us at ua-elect at mit.edu.
You must meet with a member of the UA Election Commission to receive a
packet and qualify for candidacy, and the initial deadline for completed
candidate packets is Thursday, September 4th at 5PM in the UA Office
(W20-400).

UA Senate and 2008 elections will be run at the same time, with online
voting from September 13th, 12:01AM, to September 16th, 11:59PM, with
paper balloting on September 17th in Lobby 10 from 9:00AM to 5:00PM.
