[Grogospeak] [TNQ] Missing Equipment (PLEASE READ)

Hello everyone,

After conducting an inventory this afternoon, we are currently missing the
following equipment:

17-35/2.8 "Mark"
24/2.8 "Ed"
28/2.8 "Kurt"
28/2.8 "Selma"
50/1.8 "Laura"
105/2.8 Macro
Nikon F3 (uncertain)

This is obviously very concerning, both to me as a PhotoEd and us
collectively as an organization - these lenses are worth thousands of
dollars, and we don't have the spare capital to replace them on a yearly
basis. We are working on developing a better check-out system which should
hopefully reduce confusion and ensure that everything is checked out
properly.

Unfortunately, unless we can be sure we can recover at least SOME of this
equipment by the end of this week - Friday 5/20/11 - *we may have to put
some of this exceedingly expensive equipment on a temporary lockdown* until
the check-out system is optimized for maximum accountability.

If you don't have a digital key or are worried about anonymity, please
e-mail our 2011 EIC Clare (cbayley at mit.edu) or ManEd Ken (kmh2011 at mit.edu)
to arrange a time to return the equipment - they will let either me or EIC
2012 Nick know that the equipment has been returned, but not where it came
from.

One of the strengths of our organization is the opportunity for photogs of
all levels to check out amazing equipment. Please help us keep it this way.
