Hello everyone,<div><br></div><div>After conducting an inventory this afternoon, we are currently missing the following equipment:</div><div><br></div><div>17-35/2.8 "Mark"</div><div>24/2.8 "Ed"</div><div>
28/2.8 "Kurt"</div><div>28/2.8 "Selma"</div><div>50/1.8 "Laura"</div><div>105/2.8 Macro</div><div>Nikon F3 (uncertain)</div><div><br></div><div>This is obviously very concerning, both to me as a PhotoEd and us collectively as an organization - these lenses are worth thousands of dollars, and we don't have the spare capital to replace them on a yearly basis. We are working on developing a better check-out system which should hopefully reduce confusion and ensure that everything is checked out properly. </div>
<div><br></div><div>Unfortunately, unless we can be sure we can recover at least SOME of this equipment by the end of this week - Friday 5/20/11 - <b>we may have to put some of this exceedingly expensive equipment on a temporary lockdown</b> until the check-out system is optimized for maximum accountability.</div>
<div><br></div><div>If you don't have a digital key or are worried about anonymity, please e-mail our 2011 EIC Clare (<a href="mailto:cbayley@mit.edu">cbayley@mit.edu</a>) or ManEd Ken (<a href="mailto:kmh2011@mit.edu">kmh2011@mit.edu</a>) to arrange a time to return the equipment - they will let either me or EIC 2012 Nick know that the equipment has been returned, but not where it came from.</div>
<div><br></div><div>One of the strengths of our organization is the opportunity for photogs of all levels to check out amazing equipment. Please help us keep it this way.</div><div><br></div><div>Sincerely,</div><div>Laura</div>
