I completely agree with your analysis.

The venue: I'd say it's not in Buenos Aires but in Italy. Doesn't the man speaks Italian? Also he pays the waiter for the 'mishap' with at 50 Euro bill. 



Btw: I am amazed by the great amount of comments and discussion about this little movie. I think that's precisely what it's about: stimulate and sense emotions!
