I think that if you are going to represent Tango as it is danced in New York, and there is a preselection competition to later do so.  Is logical to ask that in the pre-competitions the dancers should be from New York or at least have been dancing in that city for a certain period.

 

Tokyo, Buenos Aires and all the other cities will do the same.

 

The World competition will be then open to everyone representing those cities.
