[Tango-L] Question on 'rumour' on nuevo in BsAs

Hi,
  I was told, by someone just returned from BsAs, that nuevo is 
something of a spent force there and considered passe and 
too-far-from-tango. As an example, that even La Viruta has returned to 
traditional-only? This came as an unexpected (though welcome) surprise - 
but I find it hard to actually believe. Can anyone confirm/deny this 
from on-the-ground observation?
