I am convinced that this is a very bad estimate. I was
at Nino Bien too, last night. I guess there were some
60 - 70% foreigners and the rest locals. This is still
a lot. I base my estimate on the fact, that I was
living here until 2002 and went frequently to this
milonga and did recognice lots of local people. I also
asked some ladies to dance which I did not know before
and met argentineans. One waitress commented that in
the area which she attends there are mostly local
habitues (this is where she is getting tips from). I
talked to an argentinean girl about those percentages.
She estimates there were 40% foreigners, but admits,
that it is mainly her (local) friends that ask her to
dance.

And I did have some very nice dances with argentinean
and american and swedish ladies. I dance the
argentinean milonga mainstream style.

Best regards, Hans
