Many of you probably know about the Argentine Tango Open Forum, a Yahoo group:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/argentine-tango/
The group description on the home page is:
The Argentine Tango Open Forum is an international mailing list.
The list is uncensored and members may freely post messages
on any subjects related to Argentine Tango, including its preservation,
promotion, awareness and announcements of any Tango activities
around the world.
Well, it may come as a surprise to some of you that this list is
indeed censored:

Subject: 4th Annual Close Embrace Tango Fiesta, Nov 9-11, 2007 in Urbana IL
Tango festivals abound, but only a few concentrate on tango danced in
close embrace, as it is danced in the milongas of Buenos Aires. The
4th Annual Close Embrace Tango Fiesta, November 9-11 in Urbana IL, is
becoming well known as a successful annual gathering of great dancers,
instructors, and DJs who celebrate the contemporary social tango of
Buenos Aires milongas.
This is not the first time I have posted to ATOF and received a
message like this.
This not a mistake, because no one is supposed to be moderated on ATOF.
I just thought you might want to know, just to maintain truth in advertising.
I will probably never be able to post to ATOF again because I have
mentioned this.
So much for open, uncensored discussion.
Ron
