[Tango-L] Accomodations in NY city for the weekend ...

I'm looking to come to NY (from Boston) for the weekend. Probably coming
down on Fri evening and leaving Monday morning. The main objective is
tango dancing although I'm sure I'll find some other things to do as well
;-)

I was wondering if people knew of really affordable accommodations
accessible with the subway. Last time I came to NY it costed me and my
girlfriend almost $70 for a "private" room at a hostel in Manhattan and it
was pretty lame.

I'm not sure if she can come with me this weekend so maybe a good cheap
hostel will do. Any suggestions?

Or maybe some NY tanguero would be willing to host? I promise to return
the favor if they decide to travel to Boston (I live 15min drive south of
Boston).
